Whats the solution? To me its obvious: a school/district policy that requires all electronics to be turned off in the classroom. Listen to the iPod during lunch? No problem. Call and text during class breaks? A-OK. Violate the policy in the classroom and get suspended? You bet! And other clearly-stated, enforceable policies that define appropriate student and teacher behavior should be established. This doesnt have to be a teacher vs student problem.
